HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-108 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 108 RESOLUTION APPROVING NEW FARES FOR TAXICAB OPERATIONS IN THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has the right to approve taxicab fares under Section 21 -108 of the Brooklyn Center City Ordinances; and WHEREAS, the Minneapolis City Council on June 28, 1974, passed an ordinance authorizing increased taxicab fares; and WHEREAS, taxicab service is essential to certain citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Brooklyn Center City Council that the City of Brooklyn Center approves the following fares for taxicabs: 1. Mileage Charqes. The rate of fare based upon mileage shall be as follows: For each load of five passengers or less for the first 1/10 mile or fraction thereof 75�; for each succeeding 1/5 mile or fraction thereof 10�. Tulv 8. 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Cferk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
