HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-144 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 73 -144 RESOLUTION AMENDING REIMBURSEMENT POLICIES WHEREAS, on June 28, 1965 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 65 -114 relating to a policy of reimbursement for travel expenses incurred by employees and which provided among other things that "No. 11. If personal automobiles are used for trips within a radius of 500 miles, expenditures will be reimbursed at 7 1/2� per mile. On trips outside a radius of 500 miles in which personal autos are used, expenditures will be reimbursed at 7 1/2� per mile or an amount equal to air travel tourist, whichever is the lesser and WHEREAS, on August 11, 1969 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 69 -270 amending Resolution No. 65 -114 by providing for a reimbursement rate of 9� per mile for business use of personal automobiles; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has submitted data in support of a recommendation to increase the reimbursement rate for business use of personal automobiles: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend Resolution No. 65 -114, item No. 11, to provide for a reimbursement rate of 12� per mile for authorized use of personal automobiles on City business, effective September 1, 1973.
