and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 73-14
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1973 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn
Center provides for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General
Fund Budget and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be
transferred to any other appropriation by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1973 the Brooklyn Center City Council did
authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a Joint Powers Agreement
providing for the construction and operation of a fire training center at the
Brooklyn Park North Campus of Joint Independent School District No. 287; and
WHEREAS, said Joint Powers Agreement provided for the sharing of costs
of the training center by Brooklyn Center and neighboring communities; and
WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center's share of the cost is $4,625:
BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center that an appropriation of $4, 625 be transferred from the Mayor and Council's
Contingency Account (Account No. 401 -48) to the Fire Protection Buildings and
Structures Account (Account No. 412 -51) to provide for Brooklyn Center's share
of the training center costs.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts,
Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
