HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-149 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION. NO. RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS FOR INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION AND FURNISHING AND INSTALLING EQUIPMENT AT LIQUOR STORE NO. 5 WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Clerk have reported that on September 10, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time they opened and tabulated bids received for interior construction and furnishing and installing equipment at Liquor Store No. 5 as follows: WORK CLASSIFICATION I GENERAL INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION Contractor Bid B E Enterprises, Inc. $19,219.00 William Kranz, Inc. 19,799.00 The Neff Companies 20,500.00 WORK CLASSIFICATION II DISPLAY FIXTURES C ontra ctor Bid Display Fixtures, Inc. $23,955.00 WORK CLASSIFICATION IV CARPET Contractor Bid St. Paul Linoleum 3,463.00 The Neff Companies 3,463.00 Display Fixtures, Inc. 3,774.00 Hauenstein Burmeister 29,995.00 (error) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of B E Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $19,219 as to furnishing all work and material in connection with the general construction, accord- ing to the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted and awarded. Resolution No. 73 -1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of Display Fixtures, Inc. in the amount of $23,955 as to furnishing all work and material in connection with furnishing and installing the display fixtures according to the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted and awarded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of St. Paul Linoleum in the amount of $3,463 a s to furnishing and installing carpeting according to the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted and awarded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute contracts with said bidders. September 10. 1973 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
