HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-153 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -153 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS NO. 1973 -31 AND 1973 -36; PROPOSED STREET RESTORATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1973 -32; PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVE- MENT PROJECT NO. 1973 -33; AND PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1973 -37 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve- ments consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1973 -31 Water main in 69th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet east of Bryant Avenue to Lyndale Avenue. $16,500.00 1973 -32 Street restoration on 69th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet east of Bryant Avenue to Lyndale Avenue. $6,100.00 1973 -33 Sanitary sewer in 69th Avenue North from approximately 160 feet east of Logan Avenue to approximately 600 feet east of Logan Avenue. $6,500.00 1973 -36 Water main in Vincent Avenue North from North Lilac Drive to 53rd Avenue North; and in 53rd Avenue North from Vincent Avenue to North Lilac Drive. $14,500.00 1973 -37 Street surfacing on Vincent Avenue North from North Lilac Drive to 53rd Avenue; and on 53rd Avenue North from Vincent Avenue to North Lilac Drive. $8,500.00 and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above; RESOLUTION NO. 73 -153 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 15th day of October, 1973, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The areas proposed to be assessed for said improvements are as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND EASEMENTS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -31 and 1973 -36; Street Restoration Improvement Project No. 1973 -32; Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1973 -33; and Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1973 -37.
