HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-155 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -155 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1973 GENERAL FUND BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING CAPITAL PROTECTS FUND APPROPRIATIONS WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the increase of a budget appropriation by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates; and WHEREAS, Section 7.11 of the City Charter does provide the City Council with full authority by resolution to make permanent transfers between all funds which may be created, provided that such transfers are not inconsistent with the provisions of relevant covenants, the provisions of the City Charter, or State Statute; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND in the amount of at least $32,500.00 to be transferred for GENERAL FUND and CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND use: BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the departmental appropriations in the 1973 GENERAL FUND Budget be increased as follows: 1 Street Department Account No. 422 -53, Machinery and Auto Equipment 17,500 Detail One Sidewalk Plow 10,000 One Snow Blower 7,500 17,500 2. Parks and Recreation Account No. 472 -52, Furniture and Equipment 500 Detail One Cash Register 3. Parks and Recreation Account No. 475-51, Park Improvements 2,500 Detail Large Park Trees and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following appropriations be authorized in the CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND: 1 Municipal Service Garage Account No. 2-51, Buildings and Structures 3,000 Detail Garage Paint Booth Upgrading RESOLUTION NO. 73 5S 2. Civic Center Account No. 1-51, Building and Structures 9,000 Detail Community Center Carpeting 7,000 Community Center Noise Abatement 2,000 9,000 and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increased appropriations shall be financed by federal revenue sharing funds and that funds in the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND shall be encumbered in the amount of $32,500; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the actual transfer of funds will be made from the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND o h GENERAL t the G FUND and to the CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND on a reimbursement basis at such time, and by Council resolution, when the GENERAL FUND or the CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND has expended funds for the appropriations authorized.
