HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-170 CCR Member John Leary g introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -170 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1973 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide that the City Council may, by a majority vote of its members, transfer unencumbered appropriation balances from one office, department or agency to another within the same fund; and WHEREAS, on October 4, 1972, when the City Council adopted the 1973 budget, labor negotiations had not been completed with City employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate funds for departmental labor in the amount of $65,000 to Unallocated Departmental Labor to provide funds for final wage settlements; and WHEREAS, on December 19, 1972, the City Council did set salaries for the year 1973 for City employees, except for certain Police, Parks and Recreation and Public Works personnel whose salaries were extended at 1972 rates pending completion of salary negotiations; and WHEREAS, on January 8, 1973, the City Council did set salaries for the remainder of the Parks and Recreation and Public Works personnel; and WHEREAS, on February 26, 1 973, the City Council did create fire inspector positions and did adjust the salaries of the Fire Marshall and the Deputy Fire Marshall within the Fire Department; and WHEREAS, on April 23, 19 73 the City Council did amend certain Parks and Recreation and Public Works personnel salaries, and did authorize the payment of certain hospital- medical insurance costs for City employees: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to transfer $65, 000 from the Unallocated Departmental Labor appropriation (Account No. 497 -10) to the following departmental appropriations in the amount shown: Administrative Office Labor (Account No. 4051 -10) $3,639.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 4051 -45) 744.00 Office of the Assessor Labor (Account No. 4053 -10) 1,098.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 4053 -45) 168.00 Finance Labor (Account No. 4054 -10) 2,373.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 4054 -45) 480.00 RESOLUTION NO. 73-170 Government Buildings Labor (Account No. 409 -10) 4,704.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 409 -45) 672.00 Police Protection Labor (Account No. 411 -10) 6,150.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 411 -45) 672.00 Protective Inspection Labor (Account No. 413 -10) 2,952.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 413 -45) 384.00 Engineering Labor (Account No. 421 -10) 5,604.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 421 -45) 960.00 Fire Protection Labor (Account No. 412-10) 1,260.00 Street Labor (Account No. 422 -10) 6,864.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 422 -45) 1,728.00 Parks and Recreation Labor (Account No. 472 -10) 5,690.00 Insurance Contributions (Account No. 472 -45) 1,368.00 Elections Insurance Contributions (Account No. 404 -45) 24.00 Civil Defense Labor (Account No. 415 -10) 594.00 Mayor and Council Contingency (Account No. 401 -48) 16,923.00 Decrease Elections, Labor (Account No. 404 -10) 51.00 October 15. 1973 -2 Date Mayor ATTEST: 1, 'rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
