HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-178 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -178 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR BROOKLYN CENTER WATER MAIN SANITARY SEWER CONTRACT NO. 1973 -G WHEREAS, the City Treasurer and the City Engineer have reported that on October 11, 1973, at 11 :00 A.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1973 -G, including Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -6, 7, 31, 34 36; Street Restoration Improvement Project No. 1973 -32; and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1973 -33; and that said bids were as follows: 1) Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $251,835.10 2) F. D. Chapman Construction Co. $252,359.95 3) Dan E. Randall Construction Co., Inc. $290,617.25 4) Marsgo, Inc. $290,800.00 5) Lametti Sons, Inc. $295,525.00 6) Peter Lametti Construction Co. $297,778.12 7) Barbarossa Sons, Inc. $306,379.00 8) Nodland Associates, Inc. $308,199.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that inasmuch as all bids submitted exceeded the Engineer's estimate for the work, it is deemed in the best interests of the City to reject all bids as outlined above. October 15. 1973 Date Mayor ATTEST: l eG Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
