HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-195 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -195 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. TAMES ORDNER WHEREAS, Mr. James Ordner served as a member of the Human Rights Commission from 1972 through 1973; and WHEREAS, He served as Chairman of the Human Rights Commission from 1972 through 1973; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mr. James Ordner as a member and as Chairman of the Human Rights Commission and citizen, is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. November 20. 1973 Date Mayor ATTEST: Berk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
