HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-204 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -204 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BROOKLYN PARK RELATIVE TO PROVIDING UTILITY SERVICE TO BROOKLYN PARK RESIDENTS ON 73RD AVENUE NORTH BETWEEN WEST RIVER ROAD AND WILLOW LANE WHEREAS, the centerline of 73rd Avenue North is the boundary between the City of Brooklyn Center and the City of Brooklyn Park in the area between West River Road and Willow Lane, and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has inplace a water main in 73rd Avenue North, and an available sanitary sewer lateral in Willow Lane, and WHEREAS, it has been a policy of the City of Brooklyn Center to enter into agreements with the City of Brooklyn Park to provide utility service to Brooklyn Park residents abutting 73rd Avenue North, and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park has scheduled a public hearing for the purpose of ordering the street improvement of 73rd Avenue North from West River Road to Willow Lane for December 17, 1973; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute an agreement with the City of Brooklyn Park relative to pro- viding utility service to Brooklyn Park residents abutting 73rd Avenue North between West River Road and Willow Lane, subject to the following conditions: 1) That the City Council of the City Brooklyn Park order the street improvement of their portion of 73rd Avenue North from West River Road to Willow Lane. 2) That the construction of said street improvement be scheduled for completion in 1974. December 17, 1973 Date Mayor ATTEST: i Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts Bill Fignar and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
