ANNUAL REPORT FOR 1974
January 21, 1975
BROOKLYN CENTER CHARTER COMMISSION
The Brooklyn Center Charter Commission met four times in 1974
January 23, April 24, June 19, and September 25.
Officers elected at the January meeting:
Chairman Henry A. Dorff
Vice Chairman James A. Gillen
Secretary Barbara Swart
Officers appointed by Chairman and approved by Commission:
Audit Chairman Mona Hintzman
Public Relations Chairman Frederic Stanley
Commissioners Patrick Horan and Frederic Stanley submitted their resignations
during the year.
Richard Higgins was appointed by the District Court to replace Patrick Horan.
The replacement for Frederic Stanley will be made during 1975.
Edwin Theisen was appointed to replace Frederic Stanley as Public Relations
Chairman.
Other considerations of the Commission during 1974 had to do with amending
the by laws covering quorum and voting requirements.
The major items for discussion during the year resulted from questions raised
by The League of Women Voters relative to holding of referendums and the timing
for filing by Council candidates and City election dates.
Respectfully submitted,
