HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-138 CCRMember John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -138 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF CERTAIN COSTS RELATED TO MINN- OSA -82 PARCEL 2 INCLUDED IN THE CITY OPEN SPACE APPLICATION WHEREAS, on April 24, 1972, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 72 -54 authorizing the purchase of Lot 3, Twin Lake Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, from Gertrude S. Vilandre a /k /a/ Gertrude S. Puro for the sum of $448.60 on the condition that the City would pay delinquent property taxes; and WHEREAS, on April 24, 1972, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 72 -56 authorizing the purchase of Lots 4,12, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24, 27, 28, 31, 32, and 34, Twin Lake Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota from Gertrude S. Vilandre a /k /a/ Gertrude S. Puro for the sum of $5,343.60 with the condition that the City of Brooklyn Center would pay delinquent 1971 taxes; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has reported that the total 1971 delinquent taxes, interest and penalties on said lots totaled $207.22: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to authorize the following payments: District Court Payee Amount File No. Purpose Hennepin County Finance Director 207.22 August 14, 1972 Date ATTEST: C1 -109 Payment of 1971 taxes, interest Penalties on Lots 3, 4, 12, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24, 27, 28, 31, 32, 34, Twin Lake Park, Hennepin County, Minn. Acquired from Gertrude Vilandre, a /k /a/ Gertrude Puro Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
