HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-170 CCR1 1 1 Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: September 25, 1972 ATTEST: Date RESOLUTION NO. 72 -170 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR BROOKLYN CENTER CONTRACT 1972 -C WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have <reported that on September 11, 1972, at 11:00 o'clock A.M., central daylight savings time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1972 -C, including Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1972 -34; Street Surfacing Improvement Project No's. 1971 -15 and 1971 -23; Street Restoration Improvement Project No. 1972 -33; and Hennepin County Project No. 7165; and that said bids were as follows: 1. Minn -Kota Excavating, Inc. $62,784.00 2. C. S. McCrossan, Inc. $75,360.80 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that inasmuch as all bids submitted exceeded the Engineer's estimate for the work, it is deemed in the best interest of the City to reject all bids as out- lined above. Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
