and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 72 -171
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR BITUMINOUS
STREET SURFACING OF BRYANT AVENUE NORTH AND
COLFAX AVENUE NORTH FROM 69TH AVENUE NORTH TO
APPROXIMATELY 660 FEET SOUTH (STREET SURFACING
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -15)
WHEREAS, it is necessary and for the best interests of the
City that the street surfacing of Bryant Avenue North and Colfax
Avenue North from 69th Avenue North to approximately 660 feet
south (Street Surfacing Improvement Project 1971 -15), be constructed
at this time to serve the abutting property, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specif-
ications for the above work; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations from
contractors and said quotations were as follows:

C. S. McCrossan, Inc.
Hardrives, Inc.
Bury and Carlson

7,068.75
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the quotation of Dunkley
Surfacing in the amount of $4,458.75, based on unit prices, for the
furnishing of all labor,material, and equipment in connection with
the street surfacing of Bryant Avenue North and Colfax Avenue North,
from 69th Avenue to approximately 660 feet south (Street Surfacing
Improvement Project 1971 -15), according to the plans and specifications
thereof now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be
the lowest and best quotation submitted for said work, and said
quotation is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager
to execute a contract with Dunkley Surfacing.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
