HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-176 CCR1 1 1 Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -176 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 15, 1972, THROUGH OCTOBER 21, 1972, AS "CLEANER AIR WEEK" IN BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the problem of air pollution in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area; and WHEREAS, the hazard of air pollution can be greatly diminished through intelligent citizen action; and WHEREAS, the purpose of "Cleaner Air Week" is to promote a united educational program for cleaner air: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: ATTEST: The week of October 15, 1972, through October 21, 1972, is proclaimed as "CLEANER AIR WEEK" in Brooklyn Center. October 2, 1972 Date The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck, and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
