HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-184 CCR1 1 Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: and RESOLUTION NO. 72 -184 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 72 -34, 72 -49 72 -79 RELATIVE TO SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1972 -3 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 72 -34 adopted April 10, 1972, estab- lished Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1972 -3 and ordered preparation of plans and specifications as follows: 1972 -3 Sidewalk (M.S.A.P. No. 09- 110 -06) Both sides of Xerxes Avenue North from 55th Avenue to 59th Avenue; and on the center median of Xerxes Avenue North from 59th Avenue to FAI 94. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 72 -49 adopted April 24, 1972 approved plans and specifications for Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1972 -3 and directed advertisement for bids (Contract 1972 -A); and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 72 -79 adopted May 22, 1972 accepted bid and approved contract form for Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1972 -3 (Contract 1972 -A); and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the above resolutions it has been determined that a walkway is not needed on the easterly side of Xerxes Avenue North from 55th Avenue to approximately 300 feet southerly of County Road 10; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to amend so much of Resolutions No. 72 -34, 72 -49 and 72 -79 as pertains to the description of Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1972 -3 to read as follows: 1972 -3 Sidewalk (M.S.A.P. No. 09- 110 -06) The west side of Xerxes Avenue North from 55th Avenue to approximately 300 feet southerly of County Road 10; on both sides of Xerxes Avenue North from approximately 300 feet southerly of County Road 10 to 59th Avenue North; and on the center median of Xerxes Avenue North from 59th Avenue to F.I.94. October 16, 1972 Mayor 1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 72 -184 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
