HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-196 CCRMember Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -196 RESOLUTION DECLINING PARTICIPATION IN JOINT WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council was apprised of an invitation to consider participation in joint water treatment facilities with the City of Brooklyn Park; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council was furnished with pertinent data upon which to make a determination regarding such joint participation; and WHEREAS, it was the consensus of the City Council on November 20, 1972 that there has been insufficient community need expressed for treated water at this time: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to respectfully decline at this time the invitation issued by the City of Brooklyn Park to participate in joint water trea ment facilities. ATTEST: December 4, 1972 Date c Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck, and Maurice Britts, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
