HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-010 CCRMember John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -10 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 72 -208 BY SETTING PARK DEPARTMENT AND STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITIES DIVISION WAGES WHEREAS, on December 19, 1972 the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 72 -208 setting wages and salaries for the year 1973; and WHEREAS, provision was made in Resolution No. 72 -208 to defer setting certain 1973 wages pending wage negotiations; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports a negotiating committee of the Metropolitan Area Management Association and a negotiating committee of Local No. 49 of the Inter- national Union of Operating Engineers have engaged in bargaining since early 1972; and WHEREAS, tentative agreement has been reached and it is the City Manager's recommendation to enact the wage portion of the negotiated compensation package retroactive to January 1, 1973: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to amend Resolution No. 72 -208 as follows: GRADE MONTHLY WAGE OR DEPARTMENT JOB TITLE CLASSIFICATION HOURLY RATE STREET DEPARTMENT Foreman 985 Heavy Equipment Operator 935 Light Equipment Operator 865 Chief Mechanic 950 Mechanic 935 Night Service Man 830 PARKS AND RECREATION Foreman 985 Maintenance Man II 865 PUBLIC UTILITIES Foreman 985 Maintenance Man 920 Light Equipment Operator 865 1 1 1 Resolution No. 73 -1 (1 Tanuary 8, 1973 Date ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Bill Fignar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
