and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 73 -10
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 72 -208 BY SETTING PARK
DEPARTMENT AND STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITIES DIVISION WAGES
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1972 the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted
Resolution No. 72 -208 setting wages and salaries for the year 1973; and
WHEREAS, provision was made in Resolution No. 72 -208 to defer setting
certain 1973 wages pending wage negotiations; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports a negotiating committee of the Metropolitan
Area Management Association and a negotiating committee of Local No. 49 of the Inter-
national Union of Operating Engineers have engaged in bargaining since early 1972; and
WHEREAS, tentative agreement has been reached and it is the City Manager's
recommendation to enact the wage portion of the negotiated compensation package
retroactive to January 1, 1973:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota to amend Resolution No. 72 -208 as follows:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts,
Tony Kuefler and Bill Fignar;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
