ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO, 73 -37 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ADOPTION OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF SENATE FILE 377 REGARDING MODIFICATIONS IN THE LIQUOR WHOLESALE LAW WHEREAS, Senate File 377 consists of a number of proposals aimed at eliminating the wholesale liquor monopoly in Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center contends that present state laws encourage liquor wholesale monopolies which lead to antitrust violations: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The City Council supports those features of Senate File 377 which would dismantle the wholesale liquor monopoly which exists in the State of Minnesota. 2. The legislative representatives of the people of Brooklyn Center are herewith called upon to support adoption of this and similar legislation and the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the aforementioned legislators, to the chairman of the appropriate legislative committees, and to the governor of the State of Minnesota. March 12, 1973 Date x-e-4Y Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar; and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, and Bill Fignar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
