RESOLUTION NO, 73 -65 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF CERTAIN HOSPITAL- MEDICAL INSURANCE COSTS WHEREAS, employer participation in the cost of group hospital medical insurance premiums for employees and eligible dependents is a common and accepted form of fringe benefit compensation; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center as an employer is committed to contributing to the cost of such group insurance premiums as fringe benefit compensation on behalf of sworn police personnel and members of the bargaining unit represented by Local #49, International Union of Operating Engineers; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended City participation in the cost of such insurance premiums as a fringe benefit on behalf of those permanent full -time employees who are not sworn police personnel or members of the Local #49 bargaining unit: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize effective May 1, 1973 payment of an amount not to exceed $12 per month toward the cost of coverage under the Brooklyn Center group hospital medical insurance plan as a fringe benefit compensation for permanent full -time employees (and eligible dependents) who are not sworn police personnel and who are not members of the bargaining unit represented by Local 4+49, International Union of Operating Engineers. April 23, 1973 ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, and Bill Fignar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
