HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-079 CCRMember Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -79 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM FOR WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS (CONTRACT 1973 -C) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the that on May 3, 1973, at 10:00 o'clock A they opened and tabulated bids received ing Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -6, 1973 -7 1973 -9; and City Engineer have reported .M., central daylight time, for Contract 1973 -C, includ- 1973 -2, 1973 -4, 1973 -5, WHEREAS, certain currently not attainable easements and permits require the deletion of Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -2, 1973 -5, all except the easterly 528 feet of 1973 -6, and 1973 -7; and WHEREAS, the said bids for Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -4, the easterly 528 feet of 1973 -6, and 1973 -9 were as follows: 1) Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $45,477.65 2) F. D. Chapman Construction Co. $52,498.70 3) Erwin Montgomery Construction Co., Inc. $53,047.43 4) Minn -Kota Excavating, Inc. $57,225.52 5) Nodland Associates, Inc. $61,610.80 6) Peter Lametti Construction Co. $77,604.96 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Northdale Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $45,477.65, as to furnish- ing of all work, labor, and material in connection with Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1973 -4, the easterly 528 feet of 1973 -6, and 1973 -9, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder for s` d impro y -ment projects.
