Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 73-an
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STREET GRADING, BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
NO. 1973 -11 AND 1973 -13, AND PROPOSED CURB GUTTER
AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS NO. 1973 -12 AND 1973 -14
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements
consisting of the following: Estimated
Project No. Improvement Cost
1973 -11 Street grading, base and surfacing on 65th Avenue
North from Humboldt Avenue to Dupont Avenue. $52,000.00
1973 -12 Curb and gutter and sidewalk on both sides of
65th Avenue from Humboldt Avenue to Dupont
Avenue North.
1973 -13 Street grading, base and surfacing on Humboldt
Avenue North from 65th Avenue to 69th Avenue.
1973 -14 Curb and gutter and sidewalk on both sides of
Humboldt Avenue North from 65th Avenue to
69th Avenue.
$23,000.00
$125,000.00
$45,000.00
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis-
ing that said proposed improvement projects are feasible and that they
can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 18th day of June,
1973, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall
publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publica-
tion in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is
as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS
AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS.
4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street
Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Projects No. 1973 -11 and 1973 -13,
and Curb Gutter and Sidewalk Improvement Projects No. 1973 -12 and
1973 -14.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, and Bill Fignar;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
