HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-097 CCRMember John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -97 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC UTILITIES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1972 -25 '241 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center established Public Utility Improvement Project 1972 -25 by Resolution No. 72 -67, adopted on May 8, 1972, and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center received a request from the property owner at 5030 Brooklyn Boulevard for the installation of a sanitary sewer service to his property, and WHEREAS, Chapter 429.031, Subdivision 3, Laws of Minnesota, provides that, "Whenever all owners of real property abutting upon any street named as the location of any improvement shall petition the Council to construct the improvement and to assess the entire cost against their property, the Council may, without a public hearing, adopt a resolution determining such fact and ordering the improvement," and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center Public Utilities Department is required to make certain adjustments and relocations as part of said project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it has been determined that a request has been received from the property owner at 5030 Brooklyn Boulevard for installing a sanitary sewer service to his property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with Chapter 429.031, Subdivision 3, Laws of Minnesota, the above described public utility improvement project be herewith ordered and authorized. The estimated cost of the project is $2,350.00, of which approximately $400.00 will be assessed to the property owner at 5030 Brooklyn Boulevard, and the remaining $1,950.00 will be financed by the Public Utilities Operating Fund. ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
