HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-106 CCRMember Maurice Britts and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 73 -106 introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIAL LAW, LAWS 1973, CHAPTER 522 RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSES WHEREAS, Special Law, Laws 1973, Chapter 522 (House File 1871) provides as follows: Section 1. The Village of Roseville and the City of Brooklyn Center may issue four licenses each for the on -sale of in- toxicating liquor in addition to the number authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 340.353, Subdivision 5. The provisions of Section 340.353, Subdivision 5, clauses 3 and 4 shall not apply in the case of licenses issued pursuant to this section. Section 2. This act is effective as to the Village of Roseville upon approval by the Village Council of the Village of Roseville and as to the City of Brooklyn Center, upon approval by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, and upon compliance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 645.021 provides for local approval of a special law by resolution of the local governing body and by filing with the Secretary of State a certificate of essential facts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the foregoing act, Special Law, Laws 1973, Chapter 522 (House File 1871) be approved, adopted and ratified as it pertains to the City of Brooklyn Center. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Maurice Britts, and Bill Fignar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
