Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 73 -110
RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO COMPLETE ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION OF
SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY FROM 67TH AVENUE NORTH TO THE SOUTHERLY
EXTENSION OF THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF TRACT A, R.L.S.NO.1274
WHEREAS, the City Council did by Resolution No. 72 -64 adopted
May 8, 1972, and Resolution No. 72 -148 adopted August 14, 1972,
establish and order construction of the street grading, base and
surfacing of Shingle Creek Parkway from 67th Avenue North to the
southerly extension of the east property line of Tract A, R.L.S. No.
1274, designated as Improvement Project No. 1972 -19; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said project was constructed during the
1972 and 1973 construction season; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the establishment and ordering of con-
struction of said project, modifications in the scope of the improve-
ment have made it necessary to defer full construction of the north-
bound lane until 1974, and the southbound lane until 1976;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, relative to the construction of
Shingle Creek Parkway from 67th Avenue North to the southerly exten-
sion of the east property line of Tract A, R.L.S. No. 1274, as follows:
ATTEST:
1) The full construction of the northbound lane (one 27 -foot
roadway with curb and gutter) shall be completed during
the 1974 construction season.
2) The full construction of the southbound lane (the second
27 -foot roadway) shall be completed prior to or during
the 1976 construction season.
3) The 27 -foot roadway to be constructed during 1973 -1974
shall be posted for "No Parking at any Time

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Maurice Britts, and Bill Fignar;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
