introduced the following resolution
RESOLUTION NO. 71 1:Ifl
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR
THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER LIONS
CLUB
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Lions Club co- sponsored the 1973
Fourth of July fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, such activities help to develop a sense of community
in Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, their devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of
the community contributes substantially to the sound progress and
development of the City; and
WHEREAS, their public service and civic effort for the betterment
of the community merits the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Brooklyn Center City
Council that:
ATTEST:
the dedicated civic effort of the Brooklyn Center Lions
Club for their contribution to the Fourth of July
fireworks display is recognized and appreciated by the
City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John
Leary, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, and Tony Kuefler;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
