HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-030 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -30 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF ONE 84 INCH LAWN MOWER WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000,00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of one 84 inch lawn mower and has determined that the quotation of Reed's Sales and Service in the amount of $1,150.00 for one (1) only National 84 inch Triplex Mower with trade is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of one (1) 84 inch National Mower in the amount of $1,150.00 from Reed's Sales and Service, St. Paul, Minnesota. March 27, 1972 G Date Mayor Attest: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
