HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-016 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -16. RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Jaycees have presented the City of Brooklyn Center a gift of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00), and have designated that it be used for the teen program, "Program In the Parks and WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the contribution and past community service by the Jaycees and commends them for their outstanding civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gift from the Brooklyn Center Jaycees. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $250.00 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Teen Programs Budget (474 -2 -39) to be used for the "Program in the Parks February 14, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
