HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-017 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -17 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Mrs. Jaycees have presented the City of Brooklyn Center a gift of one hundred forty four dollars and eleven cents ($144.11), and have designated that it be used for the purchase of a bumper pool table for the Community Center Game Room, and WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the contribution and past community service by the Mrs. Jaycees and commends them for their outstanding civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gift from the Brooklyn Center Mrs. Jaycees. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $144.11 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Equipment Budget (472 -52) to be used for the purchase of a bumper pool table. February 14, 1972 Date j Mayor ATTEST: Clem The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolutinn was declared duly passed and adopted.
