and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 72 -25
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1972 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn
Center does provide that the City Council may, by a majority vote of its
members, transfer unencumbered appropriation balances from one office,
department or agency to another within the same Fund; and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1971, when the City Council adopted the
1972 budget, labor negotiations had not been completed with City employees;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate funds for departmental
labor in the amount of 65 000 to Unallocated Departmental Labor to provide
funds for final wage settlements; and
WHEREAS, on December 30, 1971, labor negotiations having been
completed, the Council did set wages for the year 1972; and
WHEREAS, an agreement with the Brooklyn Center Police Association
did provide for an increase in the clothing allowance in addition to salary
increa se s:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to transfer $65,000 from the Unallocated Departmental
Labor Appropriation (Account No. 497 -10) to the following departmental appropria-
tions in the amount shown:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and
Howard Heck;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
