HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-035 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -35 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING HENRY E. DAVIS FOR TWENTY YEARS PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITY WHEREAS, Henry E. Davis completed twenty years full -time employ- ment and public service with the City of Brooklyn Center on April 9, 1972; and WHEREAS, he has served in the Department of Public Works as Heavy Equipment Operator, Street Department Foreman, and, currently, Superintendent of Streets; and WHEREAS, he was a Charter member of the Brooklyn Center Volunteer Fire Department from 1949 to 1968; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of his office has contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The City of Brooklyn Center recognizes and expresses appreciation for the twenty years employment and dedicated public service of Henry E. Davis, Brooklyn Center Superintendent of Streets. April 10, 1972 A&4 Date Mayor Attest: clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. r
