and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 72 -35
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING HENRY E. DAVIS FOR TWENTY
YEARS PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, Henry E. Davis completed twenty years full -time employ-
ment and public service with the City of Brooklyn Center on April 9, 1972; and
WHEREAS, he has served in the Department of Public Works as
Heavy Equipment Operator, Street Department Foreman, and, currently,
Superintendent of Streets; and
WHEREAS, he was a Charter member of the Brooklyn Center Volunteer
Fire Department from 1949 to 1968; and
WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of his office
has contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the
City; and
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center that:
The City of Brooklyn Center recognizes and expresses
appreciation for the twenty years employment and dedicated
public service of Henry E. Davis, Brooklyn Center Superintendent
of Streets.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck
and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon
said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
