HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-040 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -40 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. JAMES MONAGHAN WHEREAS, Mr. James Monaghan served as a member of the Human Rights Commission from 1970 through 1971; and WHEREAS, he served as chairman of the Human Rights Commission from 1970 through 1971; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mr. James Monaghan as a member and chairman of the Human Rights Commission and citizen, is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. April 10, 1972 Date Mayor Attest: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Philip Cohen, john Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
