and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 72 -68
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS, SIDEWALK
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1972 -26
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways,
proposes to make certain improvements on a portion of Trunk
Highway No. 152 located in the City of Brooklyn Center in Hennepin
County, from the south end of the Trunk Highway 100 interchange
to the south City limits, and
WHEREAS, the certain improvements do include traffic
signals, sidewalk, storm sewer and related appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did approve construction plans
for said improvements by Resolution No. 72 -24 adopted February 28,
1972, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center
did by Resolution No. 72 -18 adopted February 14, 1972 and by
Resolution No. 72 -27 adopted March 13, 1972, authorize the Mayor
and City Manager to execute Cooperative Agreement No. 56714 for
traffic signals at 49th Avenue North and T.H. 152 and Cooperative
Construction Agreement No. 57057 for certain improvements on T.H.152
from the T.H. 100 interchange to the south corporate limits, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate
above Improvement Project No. 1972 26;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center to establish said Improvement Project No.
1972 -26, described as follows:
1972 -26 Traffic Signals, Sidewalk Storm Sewer
Brooklyn Boulevard (T.H. 152) from the Trunk Highway 100
interchange to the south corporate limits.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
