HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-071 CCR 3 Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -71 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Lions Club has presented a gift of three hundred and fifty dollars 6350.00) and has designated that it be used for mentally retarded children's programs; and WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the gift and commends the Brooklyn Center Lions Club for their outstanding civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gift from the Brooklyn Center Lions Club. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $350.00 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Children's Programs' Budget (474 -3 -10) to be used for mentally retarded children's programs. May 8, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST:__��oU�- Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
