HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-072 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -72 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Civil Rights Action Committee has presented a gift of seventeen dollars ($17.00) and has designated that it be used for expenses incurred by the City in the area of human rights; and WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the gift and commends the Brooklyn Center Civil Rights Action Committee for their outstanding civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gift from the Brooklyn Center Civil Rights Action Committee. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $17.00 be appropriated to the Mayor and Council's Professional and Consultants` Fees Budget (401 -13) to be used for expenses incurred in the area of human rights. May 8, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
