HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-079 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -79 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (CONTRACT 1972 -A) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on May 18, 1972, at 11 :00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1972 -A, including Sidewalk Improvement Projects No. 1972 -1, 1972 -2, 1972 -3, 1972 -4, 1972 -5 and 1972 -6, and that said bids were as follows: 1) Concrete Curb Company $154,081.53 2) Ndco, Inc. $157,169.46 3) E. F. Lencowski $158,028.45 4) Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc. $159,120.25 5) Progressive Contractors, Inc. $162,714.21 6) Mario Frasson Cement Co. $167,394.99 7) Henderson Lemke Company $173,043.37 8) Arcon Construction Co., Inc. $175,419.25 9) C. S. Mccrossan, Inc. $180,657.80 10) Standard Sidewalk, Inc. $183,132.30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Concrete Curb Company in the amount of $154,081.53, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above- mentioned improvement projects, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder. May 22, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
