HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-081 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -81 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH DAVID BAERG FOR PURCHASE OF FUTURE WELL SITE AT 72ND AVENUE NORTH AND CAMDEN AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center's long range water supply plan requires a well site in the area of Camden Avenue and 72nd Avenue North, and WHEREAS, development is proposed in the area of said well site, and WHEREAS, a purchase agreement has been satisfactorily negotiated with Mr. David R. Baerg for the south 70 feet of Lot 3, Block 2, Thomas Construction Co. 2nd Addition, as a future City of Brooklyn Center well site, for a consideration of $4,250.00 payable to David R. Baerg, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the City of Brooklyn Center to purchase said property from Mr. David R. Baerg; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a purchase agreement with Mr. David R. Baerg for the purchase of the south 70 feet of Lot 3, Block 2, Thomas Construction Co. 2nd Addition, as a future City of Brooklyn Center well site for an amount of $4,250.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said amount of $4,250.00 be paid from the Public Utilities Construction Fund. May 22, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST; n pity C erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
