HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-098 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -98 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, C. S. McCrossan, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accordance with said contract: Street Grading, Base Surfacing Project No. 1971 -5 (Contract 1971 -A) Earle Brown Drive from John Martin Drive to Summit. Non -MSA NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed exceeded the original contract amount by $11,759.57 because of the realignment of Earle Brown Drive to facilitate the K -Mart site which increased the cost of the project by $7,818.97, and Change Order No. 1 for the extension of storm sewer service approved by Council Resolution No. 71 -121 on June 14, 1971, which increased the cost by $3,940.60. The realignment of Earle Brown Drive required substantial peat excavation and granular backfill which was not required for the original alignment. 3. It is hereby directed that final payment be made on said contract, taking the Contractor's receipt in full. The total amount to be paid for said contract for said improvement project shall be $23,067.17. June 26, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST. C. Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
