Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72-102 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFTS WHEREAS the Brooklyn Center Jaycees have presented gifts of $315.35 and $161 .44 and have designated that they be used for the pro- gram for mentally retarded children and recreation equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the gift and commends the Brooklyn Center Jaycees for their outstanding civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gifts from the Brooklyn Center Jaycees. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $315.35 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Children's Program Budget (474 -3 -10) to be used for mentally retarded children's program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $161 .44 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Equipment Budget (472 -52) to be used for the purchase of recreation equipment. July 10, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
