HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-124 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 72 -124 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC FEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE AND SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO, 1972 -19 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: Project No. Improvement Estimated Cost 1972 -19 Street grading, base and surfacing on Shingle Creek Parkway from 67th Avenue North to the southerly ext- ension of the east property line of Tract A. R.L.S. No. 1274. $88,000.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposed to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 14th day of August, 1972, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement according to Council policy established in Resolution No. 70 -90 adopted July 13, 1970 is as follows: All property lying north of F.A.I. 94 bounded on the north by County Road No. 130, on the west by the west line of Section 35, T. 119, R. 21, and on the east by the following described line: Commencing at the northeast corner of Outlot A, Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly on the easterly line of said Outlot A to the southeast corner of said Outlot A, thence southerly to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly on the westerly line of said Lot 1 to the northerly right -of -way line of 65th Avenue North, thence easterly on the north right -of -way line of 65th Avenue North to Humboldt Avenue North, thence southerly along the westerly right -of -way line of Humboldt Avenue North to F.A.I. 94 and there terminating; and except for Tracts B, C D of R.L.S. No. 1274. RESOLUTION NO. 72 -124 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Grading, Base and Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1972 -19. July 10, 1972 Date Mayor ATTEST clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof_: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Maurice Britts; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
