HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-129 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -129 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Dycon Corporation has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Water Trunk System Improvement Project 1970 -2 (Contract 1970 -A) 69th Ave. No. from Dupont to future Bryant Ave.; future Bryant Ave.No.from 69th Ave. to 70th Ave.; 70th Ave.No.from future Bryant to Camden; and Camden from 70th to approx.650' north. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $3,862.89 because: a) It was not necessary to purchase sand for pipe bedding since sufficient sand was available on the site; and b) The sodding quantity was reduced by approximately 3,000 sq. yds. when certain areas were restored by seeding. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on July 12, 1971, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $77,410.50. July 12, 1971 Date Mayor /�y r l ATTEST: vll C Perk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
