HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-137 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -137 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS NO. 1971 1971 -12 AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (CONTRACT 1971 -C) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The plans and specifications for the following improvements prepared by the City Engineer are hereby approved and ordered filed with the Clerk: Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1971 -11 Both sides of T.H. 152 from T.H. 100 to the north corporate limits. Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1971 -12 Both sides of C.S.A.H. 10 from Logan Avenue North to Shingle Creek Parkway; the north side of C.S.A.H. 10 from Shingle Creek Parkway to Xerxes Avenue; and both sides of C.S.A.H. 10 from Xerxes Avenue to the west corporate limits. 2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvements by publication at least once in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less than three weeks prior to the date for receipt of bids. Said notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City Clerk in the amount of not less than five per cent (5/) of the bid. 3. Bid date is set for Monday, August 23, 1971, at 11 :00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time. 4. The City Manager and City Engineer shall be authorized to open and tabulate the bids. July 26, 1971 Date Mayor J9 A �f ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
