HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-140 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -140 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -13, WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -14 STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -15 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1971 -13 Sanitary Sewer in Bryant Avenue North from 67th Avenue to 69th Avenue. $22,500.00 1971 -14 Water main in Bryant Ave. No. from 67th Avenue to 69th Avenue; Colfax Avenue No. from 69th Avenue to approx. 660' south of 69th Avenue; and 69th Avenue No. from approx. 150' east of the centerline of Bryant Ave. to approx. 540' west of the centerline of Bryant Avenue. $31,500.00 1971 -15 Street surfacing on Bryant Avenue North from 69th Avenue to approx. 660' south of 69th Avenue, and Colfax Avenue North from 69th Avenue to approx. 660' south of 69th Avenue. $13,500.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes, 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 23rd day of August, 1971, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. RESOLUTION NO. 71 -140 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND/OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1971 -13, Water Main Improvement Project No. 1971 -14, and Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1971 -15. July 26, 1971 Date Mayor 01 Z ATTEST: ��rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
