HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-151 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -151 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Concrete Specialties, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1970 -6 (Contract 1970 -C) Camden Ave. No. from 53rd to 55th Ave.; 4th Street No. from 53rd to 55th Ave.; and 55th Ave. No, from Camden to 225' east of 4th St. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed exceeded the original contract amount by $3,530.68 because of general underestimation of roadway excavation. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 9, 1971, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $23,235.70. August 9, 1971 Date j/ Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary and Vernon Ausen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
