HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-152 CCR Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -152 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota,Concrete Specialties, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Street Grading, Base Surfacing Project 1970 -13 (Contract 1970 -C) James Avenue No. from 65th to 67th Ave.; and 67th Ave. No. from James Avenue to Shingle Creek Parkway. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $7,627.63 because of overestimation of roadway excavation and because inclement weather stopped bituminous surfacing in the fall of 1970. (This work was completed under Contract 1971 -A). 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 9, 1971, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $9,156.48. August 9, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: 'Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, and the following voted again and the on same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
