HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-156 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: k, RESOLUTION NO. 71 -156 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Erwin Montgomery Construction Co. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord ance with said contract: Water Main Improvement Project No. 1970 -5 (Contract 1970 -B) Camden Ave. No. from 53rd Ave. to 55th Ave.; 4th Street No. from 53rd Ave. to 55th Ave.; and 55th Ave. No. from Camden Ave. to approximately 255 feet east of 4th Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $1,081.50 because: a) Minor field design changes eliminated two gate valves and some miscellaneous fittings; and b) The water main was constructed without cutting as many sanitary services as anticipated. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 9, 1971, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $29,319.70. August 9, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Cle4-k The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary and Vernon Ausen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
