HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-160 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -160 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Erwin Montgomery Construction Co. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1970 -10 (Contract 1970 -B) James Avenue No. from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue, and Shingle Creek Pkwy from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue No. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed exceeded the original contract amount by $1,028.80 because: a) An additional catch basin was installed for drainage of a parking lot, and b) General under estimation of plan quantities. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 9, 1971, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $44,381.25. August 9, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary and Vernon Ausen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
