HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-204 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 71 -204 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -22 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: Project No. Imp rovement Estimated Cost 1971 -22 Water Main in proposed Earle Brown Drive (Tract Z of R.L.S. No. from Summit Drive North to approximately 1200 feet northeasterly thereof. $17,100.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 1st day of November, 1971, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT. 4. This improvement shall be designated Water Main Improve- ment Project No. 1971 -22. October 18, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Cle The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
