HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-223 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, 71 -223 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN JOINT SHINGLE CREEK WATERSHED STUDY WHEREAS, on March 29, 1971, the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 71 -59 declaring its willingness to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with other communities in the Shingle Creek. Watershed for the purpose of authorizing professional studies of the lakes and streams therein; and WHEREAS, on September 16, 1971, the Brooklyn Center Conservation Commission adopted a resolution endorsing the concept of joint participation in a professional study of the Shingle Creek Watershed; and WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement has been presented for the purpose of implementing such professional studies with the involvement therein of the communities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Maple Grove, New Hope and Robbinsdale: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the agreement entitled "A Joint Agreement for Shingle Creek Drainage Area Study" November 22, 1971 Date 4 Mayor ATTEST: C grk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
