and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 71 -234
RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER AN APPROPRIATION
FROM THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL'S CONTINGENCY
ACCOUNT TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION CAPITAL
OUTLAY ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE FOR LIGHTING ALONG
THE WALKWAY AND BRIDGE CROSSING WEST OF THE
CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, on September 27, 1971, the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center directed the City Staff to develop a
program which would provide for adequate lighting along the
walkway and bridge crossing west of the Civic Center with the
development to entail an estimated expenditure of approximately
$1,200.00, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has reported that
the project has been completed and that the cost of the project
was $803.88:
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the amount of $804.00 be transferred from the
"ayor and Council's Contingency Appropriation (Account No. 401-
48) to the Parks and Recreation Buildings and Improvements
Appropriation (Account No. 475 -51) to provide for the costs of
providing lighting along the walkway and bridge crossing west
of the Civic Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Vernon Ausen, and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
